Ans. The sub-type of an item-descriptor can be treated as a separate item-descriptor itself. For example "clothing" is a super-type and "shirt" is a sub-type having a property "sleeveLength". In this case we can query the "shirt" sub-type as a normal item-descriptor and query on its property "sleeveLength". This is the basic fundamental of inheritance of item-descriptors in ATG.
